If you’ve ever doubted the clout that a mom carries, just take a look at some of the “mommy blogs” out there today. They are undeniable dynamos.
For starters, they are run by educated, tenacious women, who scour the net in search of good finds, good deals, good eats…whatever their readership is seeking. Want to find some delicious gluten-free or vegan recipes? There’s a blog (shameless plug for my friend Heather) for that. Need some decorating tips, but you’re on a budget? There’s a blog for that, too. Do you need to know that you’re not alone with a particular parenting woe? Well, you get the picture. These crafty bloggers deliver all of this information in a timely manner, often with some incredible photography, detailed step-by-step instructions, or even a cool video! I’m amazed when I peruse these blogs, or run across one via Pinterest, because I know the incredible amount of time and energy that goes into each. If you’ve ever followed one of these blogs on Twitter, or fanned them on Facebook, you’ll also realize that not only are they providing the content, but they’re also marketing themselves and their blog via every means of social media available. All of this, while running a household, chasing toddlers, delivering school age children to their destinations, etc, etc.
The fan base of these blogs is a loyal group of women (and yes, men) in search of ways to make their life and the lives of their family members better somehow. It may be a cool DIY decorating idea, new recipe for finicky eaters, a high value coupon, or a review of a new product. They trust the opinions of the authors of their favorite blogs, and that’s what keeps them coming back for more.
Hollett Baby has recently had the pleasure of receiving our first product review, and we are so thrilled that Lisa at The Baby Bottom Line was interested in taking a look at our travel highchair! We’ve been in contact with several other blogs, and we have a few giveaways planned as well! This is definitely a fun way to connect with parents and grandparents in search of a way to make mealtime more enjoyable! (We’ve also been on the hunt for some good daddy blogs, so if any of you are reading this, get in touch with us!) If you have a blog, or would like to suggest one for us to connect with, please let us know!
(P.S. We are hoping to make some seat covers available for the Travel Dual-Mate™ in the very near future! The plan includes fun prints, and an option for monogramming your child’s initials or full name. Fun stuff! We’ll keep you posted!)
